When you serve this easy casserole with a creamy hollandaise sauce and fresh chives, every bite is reminiscent of the classic diner dish—but you never had to leave the house.

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle Southern Recipe Biscuits (8 Count)
8 oz thinly sliced Canadian bacon, chopped
8 eggs
2 cups milk
1 package hollandaise sauce mix (plus ingredients to make sauce)
Chopped fresh chives, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish or 3-quart casserole with cooking spray.
  • Separate 1 can Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle refrigerated Southern Recipe biscuits into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces; place in baking dish. Add 8 oz thinly sliced Canadian bacon, chopped; mix gently with biscuit pieces.
  • In medium bowl, beat 8 eggs and 2 cups milk with whisk until well blended. Pour over biscuit mixture.
  • Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until biscuits are puffed and knife inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven.
  • Meanwhile, make 1 package hollandaise sauce mix as directed on package.
  • To serve, cut casserole into squares. Top each serving with hollandaise sauce; garnish with chopped fresh chives.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 can Grands Biscuits
1 lb roll Breakfast Sausage
3 tbsp Flour
2 1/4 cup Milk
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 tbsp melted Butter (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Grease bottom and sides of small casserole dish (7x10") with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Cut one can the biscuits into quarters and place in bottom of prepared pan.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Crumble and cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until completely cooked.
  • Sprinkle flour over cooked sausage. Stir and cook until flour is absorbed.
  • Add milk, salt and pepper. Stir until mixture thickens and begins to boil.
  • Add additional salt and pepper to taste.
  • If gravy is too thick, add up to 1/4 cup more milk.
  • Pour gravy over cooked biscuits.
  • Cut remaining can of the biscuits into quarters and place over the gravy.
  • Bake the casserole for 10 minutes.
  • Cover pan with aluminum foil and bake for 15 more minutes or until golden brown.
  • You can optionally brush tops of biscuits with melted butter.
