box vanilla cake mix

6 tbsp.

butter, melted

large egg

(8-oz.) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 c.

(1 stick) butter, melted

2

large eggs

2 tsp.

pure vanilla extract

Pinch of kosher salt

(16-oz.) box powdered sugar, plus more for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350° and grease a 9"-x-13" baking pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Press into prepared pan. In another large bowl using a hand mixer, beat together cream cheese, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Pour over crust and bake until golden and puffed, 40 minutes. Center should still be gooey. Let cool. Sprinkle with more powdered sugar before serving.

1/2 cup(s) butter (melted)
1 cup(s) all purpose flour
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) black pepper
1 teaspoon(s) basil, dried
1 dash(es) onion powder
1 dash(es) garlic powder
2 - 3 can(s) evaporated milk (more milk means more gravy)
4 - whole chicken breasts cut into strips
2 can(s) condensed cream of chicken soup
3/4 cup(s) water
1 bunch(es) asparagus (fresh or frozen)
3 cup(s) hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Pour melted butter into a 13X9 baking dish
  • In a shallow dish, combine salt, pepper, basil, and whatever your favorite dry spice is.
  • In a separate shallow dish, add 1/2 can of Evaporated milk. Coat chicken strips with evap milk: dredge in flour mixture. Place in the 13X9 pan.
  • Bake uncovered for 35 minutes. Remove from oven, turn chicken.
  • In a small bowl, combine soup, water and remaining Evap milk . Pour over chicken. Top with fresh or frozen asparagus. Return to oven and bake for another 35 minutes.
  • Remove chicken and asparagus from Baking dish: whisk gravy in baking dish until smooth.
  • Serve chicken, asparagus and gravy over a bed of hot cooked rice.
