GINGERBREAD MEN COOKIES RECIPE: HOW TO MAKE IT

Steps:
- Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in molasses, egg and water. In another bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients minus frosting; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Divide dough in half. Shape each into a disk; cover. Refrigerate until easy to handle, about 30 minutes., Preheat oven to 350°. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion of dough to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut with a floured 4-in. gingerbread man cookie cutter. Place 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets., Bake until edges are firm, 8-10 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Frost as desired.

Steps:
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
- Add molasses and egg and mix until smooth.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.
- Dump this dry mixture into the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Add water very carefully and mix until smooth. Don't burn yourself!
- Pour batter in a greased and floured square pan (Dimensions 9x9).
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until an inserted toothpick in the center comes out clean.
- Allow it to cool down. Then, cut square slices.
- Top off each piece with a swirl of cream cheese frosting or whipped cream and enjoy!
