Garlic Flavored Saltine Crackers Recipe - Food.com image

Super easy way to dress up boring old saltine crackers. Serve alongside with any dip of your choice! Delish! Courtesy of Tyler Florence

2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 bunch fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
1/4 cup butter, melted
30 saltine crackers (1 packet)

Steps:

  • Make a garlic butter by combining the minced garlic with parsley and melted butter.
  • Lay out a flat layer of saltines on a lined baking tray and use a pastry brush to baste the saltines with garlic butter.
  • Bake in the oven for about 5 to 7 minutes until golden.
  • Serve with any dip you like!
  • Yum!

I saw the other recipes here for oyster crackers, but I didn't have parmesan, and we don't like dill - so this is how I made them, and they are yummy!

1 (12 ounce) bag oyster crackers
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon dried parsley
2 -3 tablespoons kosher salt

Steps:

  • Carefully open the bag of oyster crackers and add the melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt right to the bag, fold up and shake to coat all the crackers.
  • Place crackers on your baking stone or cookie sheet, and broil the crackers for 5-10 minutes, or to your liking!
  • Enjoy!

  • Heat oven to 450ºF. Line two large sheet pans with parchment paper. In a large bowl, sift flour, sugar, and salt. If using any additions, add them at this time. Add fat and water to flour mixture. Mix until combined; the dough will be tacky. Flour a cool work surface. Divide dough in two. Roll the dough halves to rectangles 1/8 inch thick.
