(1 stick) butter, softened

baguette or French bread, cut lengthwise

1/2 tsp.

kosher salt

2 tbsp.

freshly chopped parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425° and line a large baking sheet with foil. Make garlic compound butter: In a small bowl, mix softened butter with garlic, salt, and parsley until well combined. Spread cut sides of bread liberally with garlic butter. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake until bread is toasty and golden at the edges, about 10 minutes.

3 to 4 garlic cloves, minced
1 loaf (1 pound) French bread, halved lengthwise
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine butter and garlic. Brush over cut sides of bread; sprinkle with parsley. Place, cut side up, on a baking sheet., Bake at 350° for 8 minutes. Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 2 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
