1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
Using Purchased Minced Garlic
1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter with Canola Oil
1/2 teaspoon purchased minced garlic
1/8 teaspoon dried parsley
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Using Fresh Garlic
1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter with Canola Oil
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
1/8 teaspoon dried parsley
1/8 teaspoon onion powder

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients for desired garlic butter in bowl. Beat at medium speed until well mixed.
  • Store refrigerated in container with tight-fitting lid for up to 2 weeks.

1 1/2 cups basmati rice
2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
2 1/2 cups water
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Steps:

  • Rinse rice; set aside.
  • Melt butter over medium-high heat in 5-quart saucepan until sizzling. Add garlic; sauté 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add rice; cook, stirring constantly, 5-6 minutes or until lightly toasted. Add water, chives and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, over high heat until mixture comes to a boil.
  • Cover; reduce heat to medium-low. Cook 15-18 minutes or until water is absorbed. Remove pan from heat; let stand, covered, 10 minutes. Fluff rice with fork; serve.
