Suzhou people like to eat wontons, and so do my family, but each time the amount of wonton wrappers and fillings can't completely match, either there is too much filling or too much skin. This is not last Sunday, but there are about 100 grams of wonton wrappers. Going home from get off work today, because my husband is on a business trip, I just need to prepare my own dinner, open the refrigerator and see the leftover wonton wrappers, I decided to have it for dinner! I cut the wonton wrappers into strips and cook them first, and then fry them with the leftover vegetables and pork shreds. The meat and vegetables are nutritious and delicious!

100 g Wonton wrapper
Half root carrot
Half onion
100 g lettuce
50 grams Cooked pork shreds
a little Vegetable oil
a little salt
2 scoops June Fresh Soy Sauce
Right amount sesame oil

Steps:

  • Wonton wrapper leftover
  • Cut into strips
  • Boil water in a pot, add wonton wrappers and boil, add cold water once
  • After boiling again, rinse with cold water immediately after removing it, and put it in a plate for later use. To prevent adhesion, add some sesame oil and mix well.
  • Wash onions, carrots, and lettuce, shred
  • From the frying pan, first add the shredded onion and fry until fragrant, then add the shredded carrot and fry until soft
  • Add the pork shreds fried in advance and stir well
  • Add the cooked wonton wrappers and mix well
  • Add some salt, cooking wine and June fresh soy sauce and stir well
  • Finally add shredded lettuce and mix well
  • You can add a little sesame oil before starting the pan
  • Out of the pot and plate

Easy Pan-fried Wonton

1 pound wonton wrappers
300 g minced pork
3 green onions ( , finely chopped)
1 small bunch of coriander ( , finely chopped)
1 inch ginger ( , grated)
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 egg white
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 green onion ( , finely chopped)
1/2 tablespoon cooking oil
Roasted black sesame seeds for garnishing
1 or 2 tablespoons water
1 green onion ( , finely chopped for garnishing)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix minced pork with green onions, grated ginger, light soy sauce, egg white, sesame oil and salt. Stir in one direction until the filling becomes sticky and you get a paste texture.
  • Scoop around 1 teaspoon filling, place in the center of the wrapper. Assemble the wonton one by one.
  • Brush some oil on a pan, place the wonton in. Fry over medium fire until one side becomes slightly brown and crispy. Turn them over and add around 1 tablespoon of water and cover the lid until the water is almost evaporated. Repeat the process once if the wontons are not cooked completely.
  • Garnish some roasted black sesame seeds and chopped green onion.
  • Serve directly or with your favorite chili sauce.
