REVIEW: GENERAL MILLS FRUTE BRUTE CEREAL - THE IMPULSIVE BUY
Sep 09, 2013 · The original was called Fruit Brute (not Frute Brute) and was fruit flavored. It was my favorite cereal until they discontinued it. I guess they decided to make it cherry and change the name since it would be silly to release two fruit flavored monster cereals.

COMMENTS FOR FRUIT BRUTE - MR BREAKFAST.COM
Tarantino used the cereal again in his 1994 film Pulp Fiction. Bob Newhart ate Fruit Brute out of the box on an episode of the old Bob Newhart show. With his deadpan speech and mannerisms it was funny, a dry middle-ager eating a kid's cereal. It goes to show that the name Fruit Brute is funny. The cereal is not very good, however.
