This easy blackberry cobbler calls for just five ingredients and can be made with fresh or frozen blackberries.

1?¼ cups sugar
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
½ cup butter, melted
2 cups frozen blackberries

Steps:

  • Whisk together 1 cup sugar, flour, and milk just until blended; whisk in melted butter. Pour batter into a lightly greased 12- x 8-inch baking dish; sprinkle blackberries and remaining 1/4 cup sugar evenly over batter.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until golden brown and bubbly.

Number Of Ingredients 9

5?½ cups mixed frozen berries
¼ cup white sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups brown sugar
¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups rolled oats

Steps:

  • Mix berries, white sugar, and cornstarch together lightly. Set aside.
  • Cream brown sugar, butter, and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl. Mix in flour and cinnamon. Stir in oats just until mixed. Chill topping for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Place berries in the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking pan. Place chilled topping on berries, pressing lightly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden, about 1 hour.

  • Place the blackberries in a large bowl. Combine the sugar, cornstarch and lime zest; sprinkle over berries and gently toss to coat. Pour into a greased 9-in. square baking dish., In a large bowl, combine the flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda; cut in 5 tablespoons butter until crumbly. Combine sour cream and heavy cream; gradually add to crumb mixture, tossing with a fork until mixture forms a ball. , Roll out to fit top of baking dish; place pastry over filling. Trim and seal edges; cut slits in top. Melt remaining butter; brush over pastry. Sprinkle with remaining sugar., Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 30 minutes. Cover and bake 15-20 minutes longer or until filling is bubbly and crust is golden brown. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
