When Borden bought out BBF in mid-70s, the food quality plummeted to the point where Borden Burger in 1976 offered a "Bicentennial special" of two value meals for a dollar one day a week and people still wouldn't come back. Burger Chef took over from Borden Burger a coupla years after that.
