These simple and flavorful artichoke hearts make the perfect appetizer and come together in minutes! As a bonus, they make the house smell amazing! Serve with garlic aioli or creamy horseradish sauce.

1 (14 ounce) can quartered artichoke hearts in water, drained
2 teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon salt
? teaspoon ground black pepper
? teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon olive oil

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Pat artichoke hearts dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture and place in a bowl. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat.
  • Place in the air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes. Shake basket and continue cooking until artichokes begin to brown and edges are crispy, 3 to 4 minutes more. Serve immediately.

Yield Serves 4 to 6 as an appetizer

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb of Frozen or Canned Artichoke Hearts, (quartered if whole)thawed and drained well
1/2 cup of All Purpose Flour
4 Eggs
1/2 cup of Freshly Grated Parmigiano Reggiano
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Vegetable Oil for Frying

Steps:

  • 1) Add some oil to a frying pan (I prefer a cast iron pan) preheat it and allow it to get nice and hot. 2) In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, cheese, salt and pepper and set aside. 3) Dredge the artichoke hearts in the flour, then add them to the egg mixture, toss them to coat well and allow them to sit for just a few minutes. 4) Working in batches, fry the artichokes in the hot oil for just a couple minutes or until they turn golden brown, flipping them as they cook for even cooking. 5) Drain them on a paper towel lined plate and dig in!
