Easy French Silk Pie Recipe | with Graham Cracker Crust image

This is a creamy, tender, fluffy French silk pie with rich chocolate and creamy taste and a crispy crust. Do you already want to try it? Prepare it and you will not regret it.

2 plus ¼ cups graham cracker crumbs;
½ cup sugar;
½ cup butter, melted.
2 oz unsweetened baking chocolate;
½ cup butter, at room temperature;
¾ cup sugar;
1 tsp vanilla extract;
2 eggs (farm fresh or pasteurized), at room temperature.
4 oz cream cheese, at room temperature;
¼ cup powdered sugar;
1 tsp vanilla extract;
1 cup heavy cream, cooled.
? cup chocolate chips;
1 tsp shortening.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a glass pie pan or a round cake pan with butter or cooking spray.
  • Mix together graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter in a bowl. Transfer this mixture to the prepared baking pan. Press the dough firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the pan to create a crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let the crust cool completely. Then, refrigerate.
  • Melt unsweetened baking chocolate in the microwave. Let it cool to room temperature.
  • Cream softened butter in a mixing bowl. Add sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until light and fluffy. Then, add cooled melted chocolate. Mix until completely combined. Add eggs (one at a time), beat for 5 minutes. You need to beat the eggs for a long time to make a really fluffy pie. Transfer this chocolate filling to the cooled crust. Refrigerate.
  • Beat softened cream cheese in another mixing bowl until smooth. Then, add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until combined. Add ½ cup cooled heavy cream. Beat until combined. Then, add the remaining ½ cup heavy cream and beat until stiff peaks form. Place the whipped cream filling on top of the chocolate layer. Refrigerate.
  • Add chocolate chips and shortening to the microwave-safe bowl. Melt. Then, mix to combine. Spread this chocolate mixture in a thin layer on the back of the baking sheet. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes or until hardened. Then, make the curls using a metal spatula or a knife. Decorate the French silk pie with these chocolate curls. Enjoy!

8 tablespoons margarine
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
1 8 inch graham cracker pie crust
1 pint whipping cream

Steps:

  • Cream the margarine with the sugar until light and fluffy with a hand-mixer.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating 3 minutes after each.
  • Melt the chocolate slowly, either on stovetop or microwave.
  • Add the melted chocolate and the vanilla to the egg mixture, combining well.
  • Pour into the graham cracker crust.
  • Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  • When ready to serve, top with the whipped whipping cream- do not add sugar to it.

  • In small microwave safe bowl melt 4 ounces of unsweetened baking chocolate until stirrable (about 45 seconds on high). Set aside to cool.In a large bowl with an electric mixer beat 1 cup (2 sticks) of regular (salted) butter and 1 ½ cups of white sugar until fluffy (about 1 to 2 minutes). When melted chocolate is cooled, drizzle it over the butter/sugar mixture. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat the mixture thoroughly until combined (on a Kitchen Aid mixer, you will be using the whisk attachment).Turn your mixer to a medium speed and over a period of 15 to 20 minutes add in the four eggs, one at a time, leaving about 5 minutes between each egg addition. Once the pie filling is well mixed, pour it into the baked pie shell, scraping every last speck of it out of the bowl. Smooth out the pie filling and place pie in the refrigerator to chill for at least two hours (preferably longer).Plop a heap of whipped cream and garnish with a few chocolate curls if you’re feeling sassy.
