1 pound flank steak
2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary or 1 1/2 tablespoons dried crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh marjoram or 1/2 teaspoon dried marj crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano or 1/2 teaspoon dried orega crushed
2 cloves garlic minced (1 teaspoon minced)
1 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • "1. Trim fat from meat. Score both sides of steak in a diamond pattern by making shallow cuts at 1-inch intervals; set aside. In a small bowl stir together rosemary, marjoram, oregano, garlic, paprika, kosher salt, crushed red pepper, and black pepper. Stir in the oil until combined. 2. Spoon herb mixture evenly over both sides of steak; rub in with your fingers. Place steak in a shallow dish. Cover and chill for 1 to 24 hours. 3. For a charcoal grill, place meat on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals. Grill for 17 to 21 minutes or until medium doneness (160?F), turning once halfway through grilling. (For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Place meat on grill rack over heat. Cover and grill as above.) 4. Transfer grilled meat to a cutting board. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes. To serve, slice very thinly across the grain"

A wonderful flank steak on the grill recipe I invented that friends just love! My girls think this is great, and it doesn't take long to grill. This also works great when sliced and used for fajitas.

½ cup vegetable oil
? cup soy sauce
¼ cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1?½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1?½ pounds flank steak

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix the oil, soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic, and ground black pepper. Place meat in a shallow glass dish. Pour marinade over the steak, turning meat to coat thoroughly. Cover, and refrigerate for 6 hours.
  • Preheat grill for medium-high heat.
  • Oil the grill grate. Place steaks on the grill, and discard the marinade. Grill meat for 5 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
