Ok, I found this recipe on recipezaar and totally lost it. I forgot to save it in my cookbook and the page that I printed, got lost too. I couldn't find it again on recipezaar, since I didn't know the name of it so I had to re-create this recipe, since my family kept asking for it. I guess my version of it might be completely different than original, but it still a very yummy dish! I also thought it would be good to make in the mini muffin pan as an appetizer, I'll try that next!

Number Of Ingredients 11

10 refrigerated biscuits
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion
2 -3 garlic cloves
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
salt and pepper
garlic powder
chili powder
ground cumin
parsley (can be flakes, I used fresh)
grated cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Saute onion till soft, add garlic, ground beef and brown it till done, drain the fat, add tomato sauce and all the spices. Cook for a few minutes more, till the liquid evaporates, or the beef mixture will thicken.
  • Flatten the biscuits, so you can fit them in the muffin pan, fill it with the beef mixture and bake it for approx 20 minute Sprinkle with cheese and place it back in the oven till it melts.
  • Enjoy!

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup cold 2% milk
1/2 cup whipped topping
1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 tube (16.3 ounces) large refrigerated flaky biscuits
Oil for deep-fat frying
Confectioners' sugar, optional

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat the first 6 ingredients until smooth; set aside. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each biscuit into a 6-in. circle. Spread 1/3 cup cream cheese mixture on half of each biscuit. Bring dough from opposite side over filling just until edges meet; pinch seams to seal., In a deep-fat fryer, heat oil to 375°. Fry biscuits, a few at a time, for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Dust with confectioners' sugar while warm if desired. Serve immediately.

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (or the temperature your package of biscuits specifies). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (not required, but helpful). Toss together the blueberries, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook in a medium saucepan, stirring occasionally, over medium high heat, for 3-4 minutes, or until the fruit is saucy but thick. In a large bowl using a hand mixer, or in the bowl of a stand mixer, using the whisk attachment, beat the cream cheese and optional powdered sugar until fluffy, about 1 minute. Best served warm but will keep for several days in an airtight container. Refrigeration not required.
