High Fiber Bread Recipe | Allrecipes image

This dense, chewy bread has a good dose of fiber and is great toasted in the morning with my oatmeal.

1?? cups warm water
4 teaspoons molasses
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
2?? cups whole wheat flour
¾ cup ground flax seed
? cup bread flour
½ cup oat bran
? cup rolled oats
? cup amaranth seeds
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Place water, molasses, yeast, wheat flour, ground flax seed, bread flour, oat bran, rolled oats, amaranth seeds, and salt in the pan of a bread machine in the order recommended by manufacturer. Select dough cycle; press start and allow machine to run complete dough cycle.
  • Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Form dough into 2 loaves and place on baking stone. Cover loaves with a damp cloth and let rise until doubled in volume, about 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Bake in preheated oven until top is golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Slide loaf onto a work surface and gently tap bottom of loaf. If it sounds hollow, bread is done.

6 Egg
2 Egg
3/4 cup Milk
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 1/2 cup Almond Flour
1/2 cup Coconut Flour
1/2 cup Flaxseed Meal
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 teaspoon Salt
1/3 cup Psyllium Powder

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • In a mixing bowl, add the whites of the Egg (6), Whole Egg (2), Milk (3/4 cup), Water (1/2 cup), and Apple Cider Vinegar (1/4 cup).
  • Sift the Almond Flour (1 1/2 cup), Coconut Flour (1/2 cup), Flaxseed Meal (1/2 cup), Baking Soda (1 teaspoon), and Salt (1 teaspoon) over the top of the bowl.
  • Add the Psyllium Powder (1/3 cup) and mix until everything is combined.
  • Pour the mixture over a baking tray lined with non-stick paper. Using your hands, shape the dough into a round ball.
  • Using a knife, score the top of the dough with an X shape.
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until its golden brown. If you tap it on top and get a hollow sound, your bread is done.
  • Place on top of a wire rack to let it cool down. Using a bread knife, slice to serve.
