Our slow-cooker family chili is amazing on its own but elevated with the fresh and flavorful go-to chili toppings you know and love, it's irresistible. We're adding every topping under the sun to our bowl (or should we say bowls) of Slow-Cooker Family-Favorite Chili. That's just how we roll!

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 can (28 oz) Muir Glen™ organic diced tomatoes
1 can (16 oz) chili beans in sauce, undrained
1 can (15 oz) Muir Glen™ organic tomato sauce
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • In 12-inch skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain.
  • In 4- to 5-quart slow cooker, mix beef mixture and remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and cook on Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.

1 lb ground beef (at least 80% lean)
2 cans (19 oz each) Progresso™ Red Kidney Beans, drained, rinsed
1 can (15 oz) Muir Glen™ Organic Tomato Sauce
1 cup water
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In 4-quart saucepan, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce to simmer; cook, uncovered, 5 minutes to combine flavors.

  • Scrape the browned bits from the bottom of the pot. Add the meat back to the pressure cooker along with the salsa, tortilla chips, chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, and ground cumin and stir to combine. Lock the lid in place according to the manufacturer's instructions. When the steam begins to hiss out of the cooker, reduce the heat to low, just enough to maintain a very weak whistle. Cook for 25 minutes. Remove from the heat and carefully release the steam. Serve immediately.
