Steps:

  • Add butter to the pan and place over medium heat. Let the butter melt evenly (spread the butter throughout the pan with a spatula if needed).
  • Crack the egg into the pan and let cook for about 1-2 minutes over medium heat. Add salt and pepper.
  • When the egg whites are set, flip the egg carefully, ensuring the yolk does not break. Once flipped, let the egg cook for another 15-30 seconds on the other side and then turn off the burner/heat. Let the egg sit on the hot pan for another minute to finish cooking and then remove it from the hot pan.
  • Salt and pepper to taste!
