BAKED PLANTAIN RECIPE - EDIBLE WILD FOOD, RECIPES
These plantain chips are simple to make and home grown! Loaded with nutrients, these chips are a great potato chip alternative.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 200°F.
- Place the plantain leaves in a bowl. Add a little oil and spices of your choice (or a splash or two of your favourite sauce such as teriyaki). Mix well to ensure all leaves are covered.
- Place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet. Individually,place the plantain leaves on the sheet. Bake 5 -15 minutes until they are crispy. The size and thickness of the leaves will determine baking time.
- If the leaves are smaller then be careful to watch them at about the 3-4 minute mark to ensure they do not burn.
- Serve warm or once cooled!
- Serving Tip: Crumble your baked plantain leaves over a salad, mashed potatoes, or anything else you feel it would compliment well.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread flour in an even layer into the baking sheet. Use spatula to level the flour out.
- Bake/toast the flour for 7 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and allow it to cool down.
- In a mixing bowl, beat butter with maple syrup. Add vanilla and coconut milk.
- Fold in flour. Fold in chocolate chips. Stir well.
- Serve as desired.
