I tried every recipe to mimic Dot's pretzels since I can't always find them or wait on Amazon. Every recipe came up short or missing something. I finally decided to make my own recipe without following any others and finally got the same taste as Dots Homestyle Pretzels. People will be addicted to these!

1 bag(s) butter twist prezels or regular pretzels
2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1 package(s) 1 oz ranch seasoning packet
1/2 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon(s) dill weed
1 teaspoon(s) lemon pepper
1/3 cup(s) butter flavored popcorn oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 200°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a gallon zip lock bag, mix butter flavored popcorn oil, ranch, and all other seasonings. Mix well. Add pretzels. Let pretzels soak for 20 minutes, turning bag every 5 minutes.
  • Bake for 40 minutes, mixing every 10 minutes. Store in a cool dry place.

Pretzels with a bite! This snack is shaken, not baked. Lemon pepper is the secret ingredient, and gives the spice marinade mixture a wonderful zest.

1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1?½ teaspoons garlic salt
1 (1 ounce) package dry Ranch-style dressing mix
¾ cup vegetable oil
1?½ (15 ounce) packages mini pretzels

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, garlic salt, ranch-style dressing mix and vegetable oil.
  • Place pretzels in a large, sealable plastic bag. Pour in mixture from bowl. Shake well. Allow pretzels to marinate in the mixture approximately 2 hours before serving. Shake occasionally to maintain coating.
