Instead of buying protein bars, make your own at home with this simple apple pie protein bar recipe made with fresh applesauce and cinnamon.

Prep Time 10 minutes

Cook Time 30 minutes

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cups oat flour
1/2 cup coconut flour
1/2 cup vanilla protein powder
2 Tbsp stevia
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp all spice
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 cup almond butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

Steps:

  • Line a 9 x 9 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together oat flour, coconut flour, protein powder, sweetener, and spices. 
  • Using a large wooden spoon or spatula, add almond butter, maple syrup, and applesauce and mix well. Batter will be sticky but slightly crumbly.
  • Scoop batter into lined baking dish and spread evenly; press down firmly to the edges. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Remove from refrigerator and cut into bars.
