What could be better than eating cookie dough? Eating cookie dough that is dipped in chocolate! These 3-ingredient truffles are easy to make, and oh-so-satisfying!

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
1 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
5 teaspoons shortening

Steps:

  • Line cookie sheet with waxed paper. Shape dough into 24 (1 1/4-inch) balls; place on cookie sheet. Refrigerate about 30 minutes or until firm.
  • In medium microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips and shortening uncovered on High 60 seconds. Stir; continue to microwave in 10-second increments until mixture is melted and can be stirred smooth.
  • Using 2 forks, dip and roll balls, one at a time, into melted chocolate; tap off excess chocolate. Return to lined cookie sheet. If chocolate has cooled too much, reheat. Spoon remaining melted chocolate into small resealable food-storage plastic bag; partially seal bag. Cut off tiny corner of bag. Squeeze bag to pipe over tops of truffles. Discard any remaining chocolate. Refrigerate truffles about 30 minutes or until chocolate is set.
  • Store truffles tightly covered in refrigerator up to 1 day or in freezer up to 2 weeks. Thaw frozen truffles in refrigerator, and serve same day.

Sugar cookie truffles are so fun and colorful for a party or whatever the occasion!

1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ sugar cookie mix
Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch
2 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy rainbow chip frosting
14 oz vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark)
1 1/2 teaspoons Betty Crocker™ Decorating Decors multicolored nonpareils

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Make drop cookies as directed on pouch. Cool completely, at least 15 minutes.
  • In food processor, process half of the cookies to fine crumbs. Remove and set aside; continue to process remaining cookies to fine crumbs. Mix all of cookie crumb mixture in food processor. Add cream cheese and frosting. Process until well combined and mixture can be pressed into a ball, 1 to 2 minutes. Shape cookie mixture into 45 (1 1/4-inch) balls; place on cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. Refrigerate 15 minutes.
  • In medium bowl, microwave candy coating uncovered on High 60 to 90 seconds or until it can be stirred smooth.
  • Remove half of the cookie balls from refrigerator. Using 2 forks, dip and roll chilled cookie balls, one at a time, in coating. Return to lined cookie sheet; immediately decorate top with sprinkles. If coating has cooled too much, reheat. Repeat with second half of cookie balls. Store covered in refrigerator.
