1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
3 tablespoons hot water
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons bourbon
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl, using a pastry cutter or two knives, cut the Bisquick mix and butter together until the mixture resembles small peas. Stir in the water to make a soft, but crumbly dough. Press in bottom and ½ inch up sides of 8-inch or 9-inch square pan.
  • Bake crust 15 minutes; remove from oven.
  • Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat the brown sugar, eggs butter, bourbon, and vanilla; stir in the pecan halves. Pour egg mixture over the crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until the topping is set and browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack, about 1 hour. Cut into 5 by 5 rows.

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 sticks butter, melted and divided
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons bourbon whiskey
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9- x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and 1/2 cup butter; mix well. Press mixture evenly into baking dish and set aside. 
  • In a large bowl, beat remaining 1/2 cup butter and granulated sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Add flour and salt, and mix until thoroughly combined. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Spoon mixture into crust. 
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until set in center and golden brown. Let cool, then cut into bars. 
  • Before serving, in a medium bowl, beat heavy cream, bourbon, and confectioners' sugar until stiff peaks form. Dollop on bars and serve.
