Cheesy Bacon Breakfast Casserole Recipe | Allrecipes image

This is an easy but good breakfast casserole. The cheese and bacon give it a lovely flavor.

Yield 1 breakfast casserole

Number Of Ingredients 7

cooking spray
4 slices bread, crusts removed
1 ½ cups skim milk
1 cup egg substitute (such as Egg Beaters®)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Spray a 9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray. Place bread slices in a single layer in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Whisk milk, egg substitute, and chives together in a bowl; pour over bread slices into prepared baking dish. Sprinkle bacon crumbles over the top. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight.
  • Remove and discard plastic wrap from baking dish; let dish come to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bake casserole in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Sprinkle cheese over the top and continue baking until cheese is melted and casserole is set, about 5 minutes more.

Quick and easy sugar cookies. They are really good plain or with candies in them. My friend uses chocolate mints on top, and they're great!

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 ½ cups white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup white sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Mix flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a small bowl.
  • Beat butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth; stir in egg and vanilla extract. Gradually blend flour mixture into butter mixture. Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and toss in 1/4 cup sugar; place 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden, 8 to 9 minutes. Let stand on cookie sheet 2 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool.
