I got this recipe from my Mother-In-Law who was a great cook. Everyone in the Family loves it and it is often requested for covered dish meals at our church dinners.

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 - eggs
1 stick(s) margarine
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup(s) sugar
3 tablespoon(s) self rising flour
1-12 0z can(s) evaporated milk

Steps:

  • Melt margarine. Mix with flour and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add evaporated milk and flavoring.
  • Pour into greased pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min or till set.
  • For Coconut pie... Add 1 cup coconut to ingredients. For Chocolate Pie...Add about 3-4 Tablespoons of Cocoa to flour and surgar and continue with recipe.

4 eggs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In blender, combine all ingredients, cover and process until smooth.
  • Pour into greased 9" deep dish pie plate.
  • Bake at 350° for 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  • Cool on wire rack for 1 hour.
  • Refrigerate until serving.
