Croffle Recipe (Easy Croissant Waffles) – MANGO'S HOME KITCHEN image

Buttery flaky croissants cooked in the waffle maker for a crisp exterior and soft interior.

4 Premade mini croissants (Thawed if frozen)
Cooking Oil Spray

Steps:

  • Thaw your croissant dough if it was previously frozen.
  • Preheat waffle maker to level 2-3 depending on how crispy you want your exterior
  • Add 2 waffles to waffle maker and press down, cook until waffle maker indicates they are done, or until they reach desired crispiness. Remove from waffle iron.
  • Top with ice cream, berries, whipped cream, or whatever you'd like

Merging croissants with other traditional pastries has been all the rage lately. You've probably heard of "cronuts" (croissant + donut,) but these delicious croissant waffles are crispy on the outside and supremely light and flaky on the inside!

Box of standard frozen puff pastry sheets
Your choice of toppings (raspberries, chocolate chips, powdered sugar)

Steps:

  • Defrost the puff pastry and unfold one of the sheets.
  • Separate the sheet into three pieces.
  • Cut the sheets into small enough pieces to fit in your waffle maker.
  • Lay the pastry in a hot waffle maker.
  • For filled waffles, lay half of your dough on the waffle maker. Add your desired fillings. Then fold the other half of the dough over the top of the filling.
  • Cook the pastry until it turns golden brown.
