Steps:
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Add the sugar, shortening, egg, salt and 2 cups flour; beat on medium speed for 3 minutes. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough., Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour., Combine filling ingredients; set aside. Punch dough down; divide in half. On a floured surface, roll each portion into a 12-in. square. Spread filling over dough. Roll up tightly jelly-roll style; pinch to seal., Cut into 1-in. slices; place on greased baking sheets (four slices per sheet). Cover with waxed paper; flatten slices with palm of hand into 3-in. circles. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes., Cover with waxed paper and flatten or roll into 5-in. circles. Brush with butter. Combine the sugar, cinnamon and pecans; sprinkle over butter. Cover with waxed paper; roll or flatten again. Discard waxed paper., Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until browned. Serve warm.

Boil over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with pecans; set aside., Punch the dough down. Turn onto a floured surface. Roll into a 17x15-in. rectangle. Spread butter to within 1/2 in. of edges. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side; pinch seam to seal., Cut into 15 slices. Place cut side down over caramel sauce. Cover; let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. , Bake at 350° until golden brown, 30-35 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes; invert onto a serving platter.

- Make Rice Krispies treats: Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan with butter. In a large pot over medium heat, melt remaining ½ cup butter. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Stir in cinnamon and salt, then remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies using a wooden spoon. Pour mixture into pan and gently smooth top with spatula. Let cool for 25 minutes, then cut into 12 squares. Use your hands to round the edges and shape into round discs—like cinnamon rolls. (If the mixture is sticking to your hands, try wetting your palms with water before shaping.) Let cool completely. Meanwhile, make glaze: In a medium bowl using a whisk, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth. If icing is too thick, add heavy cream ½ teaspoon at a time until it reaches desired consistency. Transfer to a piping bag (or resealable plastic bag). Cut off tip of the piping bag and pipe swirls of frosting onto each Rice Krispies treat. Dust with cinnamon before serving.
