1 cup salted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Crisco vegetable shortening
3 3/4 cup flour
3 eggs
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
4 oz bittersweet chocolate chunks
1 cup walnuts, chopped
2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
Pinch of flaky sea salt

Steps:

  • In a large bowl combine the butter, shortening and both sugars.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla
  • In a separate bowl combine the flour, salt (not the flaky sea salt, set that aside for the end), and baking soda.
  • Slowly combine the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  • Add all your chocolate and walnuts. Mix until combined.
  • Use a 1/4 cup measuring spoon to measure out each ball of dough. Then roll out each ball of dough and place them on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Do not press your cookies down. Then put them in the freezer for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Bake cookies for 13-15 minutes
  • When they come out immediately sprinkle them with a little bit of flaky sea salt. Must use flaky salt do not substitute for regular sea salt.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

1 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
2 tablespoons Milk
1 tablespoon Vanilla
1 Egg
1 3/4 cups All-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Salt
3/4 teaspoon Baking soda
1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup Pecan pieces

Steps:

  • "Heat oven to 375. Cream butter flavor crisco, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in large bowl. Blend until creamy. Blend in egg. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture, gradually. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop rounded Tablespoonfuls (about 2 measuring tablespoons) of dough 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies (they will look light and moist) or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes.
