Milk cream is a very quick recipe, with a delicate taste and a smooth texture. It is made using only fresh cream and cornstarch and is gluten-free friendly.

sweetened fresh cream, 500 ml
Cornstarch, 60 g
Vanilla essence (optional),

Steps:

  • Collect the corn starch in a saucepan (1).
  • Pour in the cream, a little at a time, stirring constantly with a whisk to avoid the formation of lumps (2).
  • Add a drop of vanilla essence (3), put on the stove and heat, mixing continuously.
  • As soon as the cream becomes thick and creamy, turn off and remove from the heat (4).
  • Transfer the milk cream to a bowl (5), cover it with cling film and let it cool.
  • Use the cream to fill your desserts or serve it accompanied with fresh fruit (6).

  • In a small, heavy saucepan, heat cream and vanilla until bubbles form at edges.
  • While cream is heating, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until smooth. Slowly pour 1/2 cup of hot milk mixture into egg yolks, whisking constantly. Gradually add egg yolk mixture back to remaining milk mixture, whisking constantly. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture coats the back of a spoon.
