1?½ cups butter, softened
1 (8-oz.) package cream cheese, softened
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs
1?½ teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
? teaspoon table salt
Shortening

Steps:

Beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer for 2 minutes or until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating until mixture is light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until combined. Add vanilla extract, and beat just until blended.
Combine flour and salt in a small bowl; gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speed just until blended after each addition. Pour batter into a greased (with shortening) and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 25 to 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake pan on a wire rack 10 to 15 minutes; remove from pan, and let cool completely on wire rack (about 1 hour).

Ingredients

1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
¼ cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
½ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1?¼ cups blueberries

Steps:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.
In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in eggs, cream cheese, oil and vanilla. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat 4 minutes on medium speed. Stir in blueberries. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
