This easy, creamy slow-cooker chicken dish is quickly becoming the number one recipe on our site. Why? 1 1/2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 cans (10.75 oz. each) condensed cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
1 1/3 cups Progresso™ chicken broth (from a 32-oz. carton)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (or more to taste)
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper (or more to taste)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (or more to taste)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
6 cups hot cooked rice or egg noodles

Steps:

  • Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper and place in bottom of slow cooker.
  • In a medium bowl, combine soup and broth and mix well. Add garlic powder and pour mixture over chicken. Cook on LOW for 5 hours or HIGH for 3 hours.
  • Fifteen minutes before end of cook time, remove chicken from the slow cooker. Break softened cream cheese into chunks and add to slow cooker, whisking until the sauce is smooth.
  • Shred chicken if desired and return to slow cooker. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve chicken over hot rice or egg noodles and top with sauce.

1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 cup 2% milk
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese, divided
1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1/2 cup chopped roasted sweet red peppers
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1-1/2 teaspoons steak seasoning
1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Steps:

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the chicken, soup, milk, onion, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, mushrooms, peppers, mayonnaise, steak seasoning and basil., Drain spaghetti. Add to chicken mixture; toss to coat. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with remaining cheeses. Bake until heated through and cheese is melted, 5-10 minutes longer.
