Leftover Prime Rib Over Noodles | Just A Pinch Recipes image

I came up with this simple recipe to use up the prime rib I had made. It is SO very yummy! You can add whatever you like to this. I will be making this will left overs from now on!

Number Of Ingredients 10

- left over prime rib any amount you like. (could use steak or any cut of meat)
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
1 - onion, chopped
- garlic to taste
4 cup(s) beef broth
4 tablespoon(s) flour
- salt and pepper to taste
2 teaspoon(s) thyme (to taste)
1 teaspoon(s) kitchen bouquet browning sauce
1/2 package(s) mixed frozen vegetables

Steps:

  • Cut your left over beef into bite size pieces. I trim most all of the fat off as well. Set aside.
  • In a large frying pan, heat up the olive oil and add onion. Saute until tender and almost browned. Add garlic and saute for a minute. Add the beef broth,salt,pepper and thyme. In a small bowl, combine flour with 4 Tablespoons of cold water. Mix until smooth.
  • Add the flour/water mixture to the beef broth and stir until it bubbles. Simmer, uncovered until slightly thickened. Add the browning sauce and thawed frozen veges. Heat through. Add the beef last, and warm it up in the sauce.
  • Serve over your favorite noodles.
  • Remember to save the bones from your prime rib! They make a wonderful beef stock for soup when boiled down. Remember to render the beef stock before you give the dog the bones. ;)

Cajun spices, tomatoes, onions and peppers give any white fish extra pizazz and a little kick. Super easy and quick!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 tsp olive oil
4 6 ounce pieces white fish fillets (flounder, fluke, tilapia)
3/4 cup onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
3/4 cup diced green bell pepper
2 1/2 cups tomatoes (chopped)
1 tbsp Cajun spice seasoning

Steps:

  • In a deep skillet, cook onion and garlic in olive oil on medium heat for a few minutes until soft.
  • Add tomatoes, peppers and spices, stir and cook until tomatoes are soft, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Lay fish fillets in the sauce, cover and cook on medium-low until fish flakes easily, approx 12-15.
  • To serve, place fish on plate and spoon sauce on top. Serve immediately.
