Stir into iced tea or lemonade, and use as a glaze for chicken and pork. Or serve over pancakes, waffles, or ice cream.

Yield 12 servings (serving size: 1 tablespoon)

Number Of Ingredients 2

4 cups cranberry-grape juice drink
2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Bring juice to a boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce heat; simmer until thick and reduced to 3/4 cup (about 45 minutes to an hour). Remove from heat; stir in honey. Cover and chill 8 hours (syrup will thicken as it cools).
  • Note: Store in refrigerator for up to a week.

3 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled
2 tablespoons lime juice

  • In a large pitcher, combine the cranberry-grape juice, soda and lime juice. Serve over ice; garnish servings with lime slices and cherries if desired.

Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until mixture begins to thicken, about 45 minutes. Add shredded apple; simmer until thickened, 35-45 minutes longer (mixture will thicken more after cooling). Discard spice bag., Carefully ladle hot mixture into 10 hot sterilized half-pint jars, leaving 1/4-in. headspace. Remove air bubbles and adjust headspace, if necessary, by adding hot mixture. Wipe rims. Center lids on jars; screw on bands until fingertip tight. , In batches, place jars into canner with simmering water, ensuring that they are completely covered with water. Bring to a boil; process for 5 minutes. Remove jars and cool.
