I threw this together one morning before going out for the day. It was super easy because only three ingredients are needed! Not only did the house smell heavenly when we came home, but dinner was ready and it was awesome!

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 -5 lbs country-style pork ribs
1 (18 ounce) bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce (I used brown sugar flavor)
1 onion, chopped
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in crock pot.
  • Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours (Mine took about 6 hours).
  • Meat starts to fall off the bones-- be careful of the small ones in the juices!

Enjoy country-style pork and onion dish that’s slow cooked using Progresso® chicken broth - perfect for dinner.

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon rubbed sage
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 1/2 lb boneless country-style pork ribs
1/4 cup butter
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup
1 package (0.87 oz) pork gravy mix
1 cup Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
Mashed potatoes, if desired

Steps:

  • Spray 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In shallow dish, mix flour, sage, salt and pepper. Add ribs; turn to coat with flour mixture. Place ribs in slow cooker.
  • In 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Cook onion in butter 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender. Spoon onion over pork. In medium bowl, stir together soup, gravy mix and broth; pour into slow cooker.
  • Cover; cook on Low heat setting 7 hours. Serve pork, onions and gravy with mashed potatoes.
