These Apple Cider Cosmos are a lovely toast to the fall season! They're spiced and sweet with fresh tanginess from citrus and orange liqueur. I think Carrie Bradshaw would approve of this riff on her classic fave.

Steps:
- Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan and set over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer and add the cinnamon sticks.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until all the sugar is dissolved. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool with the cinnamon sticks steeping in it.
- Transfer syrup to a mason jar (or other airtight container) and store in the fridge for a later time if not making the cocktails immediately.
- To a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the cooled cinnamon syrup, apple cider, vodka, orange liqueur, and lime/lemon juice.
- Cover and shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds until everything is well combined and thoroughly chilled.
- Strain into two coupe or martini glasses and serve. You can garnish with apple slices or cinnamon sticks, if you prefer.
