Cooking Corn on the Cob in the Oven - Darn Good Recipes image

The easiest way to cook corn on the cob is in the oven. There's no pot, no boiling water to drain, and it can remain in the oven awhile to stay warm until the rest of dinner is ready. Lots of extra options are shown here too.

2 corn on the cob
¼ tsp salt
? tsp Ground Black Pepper
¾ tbsp butter

Steps:

  • Shuck the corn, i.e., remove the silk and husk to discard. Then, rinse corn cobs under cold water and set aside.
  • Lay all cobs onto long sheet of foil.
  • Can optionally season them all now with spices.
  • Add 2 slim slices of butter on all sides of each cob; no more than 2 slices in-between cobs.
  • Fully wrap the cobs in the foil and put on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375°F for about 16 minutes. Optionally, turn over once (usually after 6-10 minutes) during baking to allow the butter to coat more evenly.
  • Remove from oven. Turn to easiest position so you can carefully unwrap the foil. Affix 2 cob holders to each and serve.

Beer Soaked Grilled Corn on the Cob Recipe - Food.com image

This is an awesome recipe that I adapted from two others I had seen on this site. My family was blown away by the great and different flavor of this dish! Very easy to make to fit any size crowd you have.

Cook Time 5 minutes

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 ears corn
2 (12 ounce) cans beer
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Shuck corn, removing husks& silks, and wash.
  • Place corn in a glass dish and pour beer over to cover (may also use a large bag) Set in fridge for at least 6-8 hours, overnight is best.
  • Drain corn and place on a hot grill, turning frequently till done, about 5 minutes. kernels should give easily under pressure when done.
  • While corn cooks, slowly melt butter and add garlic in small sauce pan on stove.
  • Remove corn from grill, immediately brush ears with heavily with melted butter garlic mix and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
