For the equestrians out there, this moonshine mash recipe is either the worst or the best thing ever. You can ferment anything as long as it has sugar and starch, and horse feed is no exception. It may sound strange, but we have made alcohol infused with snakes, so why not try this out.

Steps:
- Place enough feed to cover the bottom of your fermenter bucket; a good 4-5 inches should suffice.
- Add your sugar and fill the fermenter halfway with boiling water. Mix the sugar until it is dissolved.
- Fill the rest with warm water until you get to 6.5 gal of mash. There should be at least about 3″ space left in the fermenter.
- Add the yeast after it has cooled down to about 75 or 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cover the fermenter using the lid and wait for 5-6 days.
- Run it at 150-160 proof.
- Filter the mash before distillation. This removes sediments to get a clear spirit.
- Distill the concoction, and you’re good to go!

- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the brown sugar, butter, salt, whole wheat flour and 1 cup all-purpose flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a firm dough (dough will be sticky)., Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a bowl coated with cooking spray, turning once to coat the top. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. , Punch dough down and turn onto a floured surface; shape into a loaf. Place in a 9x5-in. loaf pan coated with cooking spay. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour., Bake at 375° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan to a wire rack to cool.

The Twinkie was invented in 1930 by the late James A. Dewar, then the Chicago-area regional manager of Continental Baking Company, the parent corporation behind the Hostess trademark. At the time, Continental made "Little Short Cake Fingers" only during the six-week strawberry season, and Dewar realized that the aluminum pans in which the cakes were baked sat idle the rest of the year. He came up with the idea of injecting the little cakes with a creamy filling to make them a year-round product and decided to charge a nickel for a package of two. But Dewar couldn't come up with a catchy name for the snack cake—that is, until he set out on a business trip to St. Louis. Along the road he saw a sign for Twinkle Toe Shoes, and the name Twinkies evolved. Sales took off, and Dewar reportedly ate two Twinkies every day for much of his life. He died in 1985.
