Best Air Fryer Shrimp (So Easy!) - Kristine's Kitchen image

This easy Air Fryer Shrimp recipe makes perfect, juicy shrimp, seasoned with a delicious mix of seasonings. Serve the shrimp with a dipping sauce, toss them with pasta or salad, make shrimp tacos, or enjoy with rice and vegetables.

1 pound jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or sweet paprika)
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon dried thyme
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 400° F for 5 minutes.
  • Lay the shrimp out in a single layer on a plate or cutting board. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the paprika, garlic powder, dried oregano, onion powder, dried thyme, salt and pepper.
  • Brush half of the olive oil over the shrimp and sprinkle with half of the seasoning mixture. Gently pat the seasonings into the shrimp with your fingers. Flip the shrimp over and brush with the remaining olive oil. Sprinkle with the rest of the seasonings and pat to help the seasonings stick to the shrimp.
  • Place shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer (cook in batches as needed). Air fry at 400° F for 3 minutes. Flip shrimp over and air fry for 1-5 more minutes, until shrimp are cooked through (they should register at least 145° F on an instant read thermometer). Serve.

1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 c. panko bread crumbs
1/2 c. shredded sweetened coconut
2 large eggs, beaten
1 lb. large tail-on shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. sriracha
1 tbsp. Thai sweet chili sauce

Steps:

  • In a shallow bowl, season flour with salt and black pepper. In another shallow bowl, combine panko and coconut. In a third shallow bowl, beat eggs to blend.
  • Working one at a time, dip shrimp into seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Dip into eggs, then into panko mixture, gently pressing to adhere.
  • Working in batches if necessary, in an air-fryer basket, arrange shrimp in a single layer. Cook at 400° until shrimp is golden brown and cooked through, 7 to 9 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sriracha, and chili sauce.
  • Arrange shrimp on a platter. Serve with dipping sauce alongside.
