All-Purpose Citrus Dressing Recipe | Cooking Light image

Homemade dressing comes together in minutes and is far healthier, cheaper, and fresher than bottled dressings with added sugars, chemicals, and fillers. Prep ahead and store in a covered jar or container in the refrigerator. If you're cooking for more than one, feel free to double or triple the dressing. This recipe goes with: Spinach Salad with Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Winter Salad with Easy Herbed Pork Tenderloin, Roasted Salmon with Kale-Quinoa Salad

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
Dash of salt
Dash of black pepper

Steps:

  • Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, orange juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate in an airtight container. Shake well before using. Note: Nutritional analysis is per Tbsp.

2 tablespoons fresh squeezed orange juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • combine all ingredients together and whisk until well incorporated.
  • Drizzle 2-3 tsp of dressing over your salads.
  • Note: this is a great dressing to go with any green salad that is combined with some sort of fruit (pear, orange segments, grapes, strawberries, dried sweet cranberries), add some type of nut (almonds, walnuts), and cheese (crumbled bleu, feta, gorgonzola). MAKE IT YOUR OWN!
