Ingredients

2 pounds skinless, salted peanuts
1 (4 ounce) package sweet baking chocolate (such as Baker's German's Sweet Chocolate®), broken into pieces
1 (12 ounce) package milk chocolate chips
24 ounces white almond bar, broken into pieces

Steps:

Pour peanuts into your slow cooker. Layer sweet baking chocolate over the peanuts. Spread milk chocolate chips onto the baking chocolate. Finish with a layer of white almond bar pieces.
Cook on Low for 2 hours before stirring to mix evenly.
Line baking sheets with waxed paper or baking parchment. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut mixture onto the prepared baking sheets. Set aside until the candies harden. Store covered in a cool place.

This is the simplest version of chocolate covered strawberries I know. Paraffin was originally used instead of shortening. Turn the strawberries upside down and insert by the toothpicks into a piece of styrofoam for easy cooling, or simply place them on a sheet of wax paper. White chocolate may be drizzled over the milk chocolate for a fancier look. They are perfect for weddings when decorated with frosting bow ties, bells, butterflies, roses, etc.

Ingredients

16 ounces milk chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening
1 pound fresh strawberries with leaves

Steps:

In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and shortening, stirring occasionally until smooth. Holding them by the toothpicks, dip the strawberries into the chocolate mixture.
Insert toothpicks into the tops of the strawberries.
Turn the strawberries upside down and insert the toothpick into styrofoam for the chocolate to cool.

Line a 15x10x1-in. pan with foil; grease foil with 1 tablespoon butter., In a heavy large saucepan, combine sugars, milk and cubed butter. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; cook and stir 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in marshmallows and vanilla until blended., Gradually stir in chocolate chips and chopped chocolate until melted. Fold in pecans. Immediately spread into prepared pan. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Using foil, lift fudge out of pan. Remove foil; cut fudge into 1-in. squares. Store between layers of waxed paper in an airtight container.
