TEOCHEW RICE ROLL RECIPE - SIMPLE CHINESE FOOD
As an authentic Chaozhou native who grew up in Chaozhou, he has been in Guangzhou for six years. Compared with the intestines in Guangzhou, he still loves the rice rolls in Chaozhou. Why is it always emphasized that it is in the urban area? The rice rolls are different. For example, the rice rolls in Raoping are different from ours. The sausages in Guangzhou are usually single stuffing, either egg sausage, or lean meat sausage, or beef sausage, shrimp sausage. Although there are many types, almost all of them are single stuffing, and the vegetables are basically water spinach. The most common thing to do is simply to pour soy sauce on it. Maybe some restaurants or sausage shops do better, but the sausage stalls on the streets and alleys are basically just like this. The rice rolls in Chaozhou City are usually filled with a variety of fillings, mainly cabbage, with minced meat, eggs, shredded shiitake mushrooms, and then topped with prepared peanut butter, and you can also sprinkle some dried vegetables or Wanqian. In Chaozhou City, the rice noodle stalls on the streets and alleys are basically sufficient, because if they are too simple, they will definitely have no business.
