2 tablespoons peanut oil
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
3 tablespoons oyster sauce
fresh ginger, grated (optional)
1/2 cup chicken stock or 1/2 cup canned broth

Steps:

  • Heat wok or deep pan over high heat until it is hot. Add oil and wait until it is smoking, add ginger and garlic and leave for a minute or so.
  • Then add the oyster sauce and stock simmering for another few minutes.
  • Pour over your favorite fried rice, white rice or meat, especially chicken.

1 tablespoon(s) rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoon(s) sugar
2 tablespoon(s) shoyu (soy sauce)
2 tablespoon(s) sherry or red wine
1 teaspoon(s) shirachi sauce or tabasco sauce
1/4 teaspoon(s) sesame oil
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) corn starch
1 tablespoon(s) water
1 tablespoon(s) oil
2 tablespoon(s) garlic, minced

Steps:

  • Heat 1 T oil in small saucepan. Add galic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Combine vinegar, sugar, shoyu, sherry, shirachi sauce, and sesame oil. Add to garlic. Brng to boil.
  • Combine corn starch and water. Add to sauce pan. Stir until thickened.
  • Use in stir fry dishes or as a dipping sauce.
