Custard filling recipe - Simple Chinese Food image

Custard filling can be used to make Cantonese dessert custard buns, it can also be used to make custard filling moon cakes, and it can also be used to make fancy bread and other desserts.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 egg
50 grams starch
80 grams milk
20 grams butter
40 grams Sugar

Steps:

  • Add sugar to butter and heat over water
  • No need to wait for the butter to melt, it can be mixed with sugar evenly after it is softened
  • Add the egg liquid in two or three portions and mix well. It is also possible to add the egg liquid all at once, but it does not fuse at first. After mixing well, it is a slightly thick liquid
  • Add milk and mix well. If the stirring is not uniform, it does not matter if there is oil and liquid separation, it will merge after steaming
  • Add the orange powder, mix well, this one doesn’t need to be stirred, it’s very thin
  • After stirring well, just steam it in the pot
  • Steam for about 25 minutes after airing. Cook the pot at ten minutes intervals and stir once
  • After being out of the pot, let cool slightly, knead well, and make a pill.
