1 large sweet onion, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
6 large eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
2 cups cubed cooked rotisserie chicken
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
5 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Steps:

  • In a small skillet, saute onion in oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. In a large bowl, combine eggs and cream. Stir in the chicken, cheese, bacon and onion mixture. Pour into a greased 9-in. deep-dish pie plate., Bake at 375° for 35-45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.

Number Of Ingredients 10

9 inches unbaked pastry shells
2 cups cubed cooked chicken or 2 cups turkey
4 ounces shredded swiss cheese
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon wyler's chicken flavored instant bouillon or 1 tablespoon steero chicken flavored instant bouillon
1 cup borden milk or 1 cup meadow gold milk
3 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons chopped green bell peppers
2 tablespoons chopped pimiento

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425. Bake pastry shell 8 minutes; remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 350.
  • Meanwhile, in medium bowl, toss cheese with flour and bouillon; add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into prepared pastry shell. Bake 40-45 minutes or until set. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.
