Add additional water to the pan if necessary.

- Preheat oven to 400°. Lay a water chestnut on top of a piece of bacon; wrap to enclose, securing with a toothpick. Transfer to a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, paprika, cumin, and garlic powder. Brush wrapped water chestnuts all over with maple mixture. Bake until bacon is crisp and golden, about 20 minutes. Serve warm with honey mustard for dipping.

- Cut each slice of bacon in half widthwise. Wrap a strip around each chestnut or pineapple chunk; secure with toothpicks. Place in an ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 400° for 25-35 minutes or until bacon is crisp. , Pour sweet-and-sour sauce into a microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes or until heated through. Serve with appetizers.

1. Using a sharp knife, make shallow slits in the top of the chicken legs (see tip).
2. Place all the ingredients for the marinade in a large bowl and stir until combined. Add the chicken legs and toss to coat, using your hands to cover them really well in the marinade. Cover the bowl and place in the fridge to marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/Gas 7 and line a roasting tin with baking paper.
4. Place the marinated chicken legs in the lined tin, skin side up in a single layer, and spoon over the remaining marinade from the bowl. Roast in the oven for 35–40 minutes until sticky and golden and cooked through. Skim off any fat from the cooking juices and pour the juices into a jug.
5. Serve hot with the juices poured over, and with a green vegetable and sauté potatoes or mash on the side.
