Number Of Ingredients 9

3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
6 of eggs
¾ cup of sugar
¾ cup of half-and-half
¼ cup of all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon of salt
3 teaspoons of vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean
3 cups of pitted cherries, fresh (if frozen: thaw, drain, and dry with paper towels)
of Powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Add flour, sugar, salt, half-and-half, and eggs in a medium bowl. Mix well.
  • Heat the Chef Collection 12 Inch Everyday Pan over medium heat, about 2-3 minutes. Melt butter in pan and swirl to coat.  
  • Spread cherries evenly in the pan. Slowly pour batter into the skillet. Bake in the oven for approximately 30 minutes. 
  • Allow to cool before slicing, 10 minutes. Garnish with powdered sugar.

1 1/2 c.

tart or sweet cherries, halved and pits removed

large eggs

1/2 c.

granulated sugar

1 c.

milk

1 tbsp.

amaretto, or 1 tsp. almond extract

3/4 c.

all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp.

kosher salt

Powdered sugar, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350° and grease a 9" round baking dish with butter. Spread out cherries in an even layer in bottom of pan.  In a blender, add eggs and sugar and blend until frothy. Add milk, amaretto, flour and salt and blend until combined. Pour batter over cherries.  Bake until golden and a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean, about 35 minutes.  Serve warm or at room temperature dusted with powdered sugar.
