CHEESY SPICY CORNBREAD! RECIPE - FOOD.COM
This is a yummy, easy, savory recipe for cornbread! It's also really good with a can of drained corn, but I have to omit for DH's sake. I like to add a bit of salt because the jiffy mix is a little sweet. I also add 2 tablespoons of flour since I live at high altitude. I've made this different ways, using red onions or green onions, both ways were delish...go with what you like best! Note: If mixture is too dry, just add a splash of milk to moisten. Recipe updated to include milk.

Carefully pour the melted butter into the mixture, leaving some in the pan so it is greased. As many have figured out, there is no reason not to use the good old standby Jiffy Bread Corn Bread mix. It always comes out great. The corn in the bread makes for a nice appreciated surprise to the devourer. This bread has a light taste of cheese, add more if u like it to taste even more cheesy. It makes for a great texture to the bread to add cheese. Corn bread is a wonderful side dish as everyone knows (!) and because this has corn kernels in it, its a more substantial part of the meal, almost a vegetable!
