CHEESY BACON MONKEY BREAD RECIPE BY TASTY

Here's what you need: bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, flaky biscuit dough, butter, garlic, italian seasoning, parsley

Yield 18 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

7 strips bacon
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
10 oz flaky biscuit dough, 3 cans
1 ¼ cups butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons italian seasoning
parsley, minced, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Crisp bacon over medium heat. Allow it to cool, then crumble.
  • Generously grease a large bundt pan with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, mix both kinds of cheese.
  • Cut each biscuit into four pieces. Flatten each piece in the palm of your hand and add a pinch of the mixed cheeses and crumbled bacon. Gather the edges and pinch the biscuit into a ball.
  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic.
  • Drop the biscuit pieces in the butter mixture and place in the bundt pan.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden-brown. (Be careful - the butter may begin to smoke toward the end of the bake time. If it begins to smoke, remove from the oven.)
  • Let stand for five minutes, then place a heatproof plate on top of the pan. Using a pot holder, flip the pan and plate over and invert onto your serving plate. Be careful as the pan will still be hot.
  • Sprinkle with parsley.
  • Enjoy!

1 tablespoon dry ranch salad dressing and seasoning mix
5 tablespoons butter, melted
2 12 ounce cans (20 biscuits total)s refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
1 3 ounce package cooked bacon pieces

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously grease a 10-inch fluted tube pan or tube pan; set aside.
  • In a medium bowl stir together dressing mix and butter; set aside. With scissors, cut each biscuit into fourths. Toss biscuit pieces, several at a time, in butter mixture. Layer biscuit pieces, cheese and bacon in the prepared tube pan; press lightly.
  • Bake about 30 minutes or until golden and a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand in pan for 10 minutes. Invert onto a large serving platter. Serve warm.

  • Preheat the oven to 350°. Generously brush a 14-cup tube pan or Bundt pan with some of the melted butter (do not use a pan with a removable bottom or the butter might leak out). Open all the cans of cold biscuits and cut the biscuits into quarters. Toss the cheese and parsley together in a large bowl. Arrange half the biscuit pieces in the bottom of the pan, covering most if not all of the bottom. Drizzle with half of the remaining melted butter. Sprinkle with half of the cheese mixture. Layer the remaining biscuit pieces over the top and drizzle with the remaining melted butter. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese mixture. Bake until puffed, set and deep golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool in the pan on a rack for 10 to 15 minutes, then invert onto the rack while still warm. Re-invert onto a cutting board or platter and serve cheese-side up. The bread is best served warm.
