This recipe is a variation of Red Lobsters "Cheddar Bay biscuits". Honestly, I like my way better. The are soooooo GOOD!!!!!

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450.
  • Combine Bisquick with 4 Tablespoons butter using a pastry cutter or a large fork.
  • Add milk, and cheddar cheese.
  • Stir together.
  • Spoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes.
  • In a small sauce pan combine 2 Tablespoons butter, garlic powder and old bay seasoning.
  • Heat until butter is melted.
  • Spoon butter mixture over hot biscuits.
  • Eat em' up!
  • They are YUMMY!

2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Mix bisquick, milk and cheese until a soft dough forms.
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Mix butter or margarine and garlic powder.
  • Brush mixture over warm biscuits before removing from cookie sheet.

On its own, room temperature shortening does a poor job creating the light, airy texture you want from good biscuits, and it contributes little in the way of flavor. So, we'll invite some cold butter along on the trip -- with grated Cheddar cheese and a little garlic powder.
