Charcuterie is a romantic form of finger food that originated in France. It's a super simple way to serve something impressive to your feature beaux.

French baguette, cut into thick slices
toasted croustinis
tuna pâté or tuna salad
goose pâté or foie gras terrine
pork terrine
chicken salad
egg salad
sweet gherkins
escargot
smoked salmon, cream cheese & croustini
brie
manchego
goat cheese
spicy habanero cheese
pepperoni wrapped mozzarella
prosciutto, basil & mozzarella bites
thick sliced pepperoni
prosciutto
cappicola
strawberries

Steps:

  • Arrange the items on a large wooden board or serving platter. Serve at room temperature with fresh baguette and croustini on the side. Bon appetit!

Italian cured sausage
Blue cheese
Brie cheese
Apple smoked cheddar
Gouda cheese (cubed)
Olives (Kalamata and almond stuffed green)
Bread sticks
Rosemary-sea salt crackers
Cream crackers
Berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
Figs
Physalis
Dark chocolate
Natural comb honey

Steps:

  • Arrange the cheeses on the charcuterie board. Cheeses look better when some of them are sliced, some-cubed, some-crumbled, and softer cheeses served whole.
  • Next, add the bowls with honey, condiments, dips, nuts, pates, crumbled and spreadable cheeses, olives or marinated baby vegetables.
  • Arrange the meats, crackers and chocolate. Fold the slices of meat in different ways to add visual interest, texture and height. If some of the meats are similar in color and texture try to keep them apart.
  • Fill in the very last open spaces of the board with fresh berries, fruit slices, nuts and greens.
