These walnuts are wonderful when put on a green salad. That is if you don't let your family taste them...they might not make it to the salad. Wonderful!

- Lightly grease a baking sheet. In a 1 quart glass measure, combine walnut halves, sugar, and water. Cook in microwave oven on high setting for 8 to 8 1/2 minutes, or until sugar has caramelized. Stir several times during cooking. Pour out onto prepared baking sheet, and separate into pieces. Let cool completely. store in an airtight container.

- "Peel and cut sweet potatoes into medium sized chunks and get a pot of water boiling with a few pinch's of salt in the water. Once boiling add sweet potatoes and boil until potatoes are just fork tender, drain. Place potatoes into large mixing bowl, Add 3/4 stick of butter and let melt a bit, add milk, brown sugar, salt and a pinch of cinnamon (to taste) and mix with a hand blender until a smooth consistency is achieved. Add the rest of the butter on top to melt and serve. OPTIONAL: For that extra special holiday side dish Empty finished sweet potatoes into a baking dish and add marshmallows and chopped pecans and bake on high until marshmallows melt. "
